Anyone who thinks they will win the league is a proper mentalist.... Chico, book mark that lad and repost it at the end of the season.

Mentalism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mentalism is a performing art in which its practitioners, known as mentalists, appear to demonstrate highly developed mental or intuitive abilities

I think a lack of January investment in the squad and an injury glut killed our momentum. Think we could have survived one or the other just not both. We might even have been OK if the Kone & Gibson injuries were weeks long rather than months long - Lukaku & our midfield have had no rest over the intense winter period. Even if you can cope physically I guess it is tough mentally.

However, think we still can get 5th and who knows - football can be strange sometimes!

Sound comments mate

You've got to admit, if the choice was between:
Liverpool 1st
Everton 5th

and

Liverpool 2nd
Everton 6th

It would be an easy decision.

IIRC last year each place was worth 0.75m, guess it is more this year. So rather have the money to help afford wages or squad players.

Edit - would also love for Martinez to match/beat Moyes record # pts in his first year which think is 65. So need 20 pts in the next 13 games

I've said elsewhere a team that plays in Red won't finish above us this season, I am still standing behind it.

1/2 will be Chelsea/City
3 Spurs
4 Everton

Liverpool are going to win the league, everything is just shifting in to place for them...

Anyone who can't see this is either kidding themselves or they haven't watched football for very long.

4 points off top and have to play 2 teams above them at home...

Both of those teams also still have to play Arsenal in the next month or so, so if Arsenal take any points off them, that already puts Liverpool top...

They are blowing teams away at home, they are starting to score last minute pens again, just like they used to, they are getting every bounce of every ****ing ball...

They are winning Goal of the month every month, they are loved by the media again... Even Suarez has transformed from villain to hero in most circles, and they are building ridiculous momentum leading into the end of the season, while the closest teams to them are faltering away to Norwich and West Brom...

Even down to fact that we are having a, still, really good season, only points to the fact that by some unwritten laws, theirs HAS to be better...

If you can't see the signs that all of this is pointing to, im not sure if its delusion or some sort of insane Evertonian optimism, but either way, id start preparing for the worst...

Wow, head on over to RAWK and join your mates there will you. This an Everton supporters forum not a Liverpool appreciation forum.

I know full well its an Everton forum mate, that is why what i wrote, i wrote with anger and fear...

Seriously, if U can't see it, and have to reduce yourself to calling me a RS for having a very real worry about what's about to unfold, then i feel sorry for you...

Either that or live out in the sticks somewhere and don't have to put up with the **** we will have to put up with when it happens...

They've been very fortunate in many of their games this season I agree, but to bang on the way you did was way over the top. 99% of teams will end up having a 'crisis' at some point in their season, Liverpool are yet to have theirs, we've had ours and are now coming back to full strength.

Let's just stop the Liverpool love in right now.

Its still City's title to lose for me. A game in hand and points to spare. Them lot won a game that they should have and its left them in a good position and they are in the groove. It happens. Their brilliant team is only a couple of points clear of a Tottenham team thats barely functioned this season and a couple of points behind a team full of superstars that hasnt hit top gear yet. Our top 4 ambitions took a bit of knock tonight, but its hardly unexpected. Just got to keep going till the end and hopefully with a fully fit squad on form.

I can see where you are coming from mate as I see a momentum behind 'them' at the moment as well. And, living in NZ, I am 12,000 miles insulated from that lots horrible gloating whilst Merseyside Evertonians are there at 'ground zero'.

But hang tough mate. Momentum can shift quickly and we have a possible 39 points still to play for.
