Who should replace Frank Lampard?

His shortcomings are evident right now at West Ham, he plays the same formation in every game and doesn't know how to change it, subs are far too late on in games and generally seems to have run out of ideas after badly wasting an awful lot of money in summer. Id take him over Martinez but he has some serious and very obvious limitations as a manager.

Yes not doing well right now, not done bad for the last few years though and they certainly have the players to get themselves well clear. Some of the signings that have gone in at West Ham don`t come across as Moyes signings and he wasn`t using them at the start of the season, you got to wonder if they were put on him and that has disrupted things.

I have no idea what the better solution is anymore
I am not sure who we get in will be the answer for a fanbase that in fairness has been forced into a situation of sheer confusion on what or who is the best option
You can see now with Lampard the fanbase is split on sacking or giving him time…. This sadly is the path we have been forced down

I wish I could put double thumbs up to this....

The football has never been so bad as it has been under Benitez and Lampard. Towards the end of the Moyes reign we played a decent brand of football and remember some class goals in that period, like Pienaars goal at Arsenal in the snow, Osman goal in Europe at the Gwladys Street end, not individual goals, very good team goals....

I can not believe there is posters on here saying no to Moyes then presenting a case for Dyche who plays 2 big men upfront in a rigid 4-4-2, I can`t believe it, our best manager in the Premier League era getting us to Europe and nearly the holy grail of the Champions League on a budget that Dyche had a relegation battle with every season at Burnley.

I`m not making a case for Moyes but he really doesn`t get the respect he deserves from a fanbase he did so much for, HIS SHORTCOMINGS came from an inept board that is still in place, I for one would love to go back to the days we were consistently playing in Europe and with the new stadium increasing revenue and some expensive wages coming off the books we will be in good shape very soon.

AND before anyone points to THIS SQUAD I remember the days we had to play Steve Watson upfront and David Unsworth on the left wing and we never struggled to score as we do at the moment.....

Fat Sam I think could have been good but he chose the decision to keep the same "type" of football because we were safe quite early on, he could have opened the team up and shown a more attacking side, that may have changed some views but he kept the dull defensive football right till the end....

Is this club more suited to a "Dinosaur" type manager than any other?

The reason I ask, look at the managers that have done well in recent times with results i.e. Moyes, Allardyce, Carlo etc, Moyes and Carlo the only ones that weren`t sacked.

Is it because of the Dinosaur on our board... Just a thought, certain types of managers suit certain clubs.

He kept the football he knew, that worked for us and actually suited us, his dull football was miles better then we have seen recently.
But the reason he was sacked wasnt his football, if was Moshiri wanting to put his mark in things, go for a Hollywood signing, then Silva turned up.
That was the start of this mess

Yes it's 100% more suited to it, maybe Dyche fits the role, I dunno, but dull boring results that go our way is what we need right now.
Only points matter, not how you get them.

That’s great if we are looking at challenging the top 6. We aren’t. We are trying to stay in the division - one relegation in 25 years of management is not a proven failure in this regard.
