Who should play where?

But is the adaptability dangerous?

If we look at just one position, for example, we can at least begin to create a team that has identity.

Let's take our right back position:

Hibbert
Neill
Neville
Heitinga
Coleman

From this, it's possible to pick one player for the right back position, and one backup for the bench.

For me, the 2 players would be Hibbert and Coleman.
Others might say Neil and Coleman etc etc.

The ones that don't fit, either have a chance for another position, or become removed from the equation altogether, and either play for the reserves, sent on loan, or sold off.

We can do that with each position.
 

when you look at a list of players, you gotta admit that if they were all fit, Moyes has a done a good job of getting everything he needs.
 
But thats unworkable. Say I picked Coleman and Neville, then we got rid of the other 3, where does that leave the squad? I mean Neil and Heitinga are playing CB and Neville is playing Midfield.

It's very difficult, but it's something that I feel Moyes must address.
 

I would go for:

Howard

Hibbert/Coleman Neil Distin Baines

Donovan Neville/Heitinga Fellaini Pienaar

Billy/Cahill

Saha/Yak

Even then we have the likes of Yobo, Rodwell, Jo, Vaughan, Osman, Baxter, Anichebe, Duffy, Gosling etc

And of course with the return of Arteta and Jags our formation and options can change all over again! It's good to be a blue :)

We don't have much cover for our left back position.
I was quite impressed with the young lad who stepped in during the last Europa game.

Was it Bidwell?

Perhaps Moyes should bring him through into the senior squad, seeing as this is a position that is weak at present.
