Who should play against Hull ?

Ive gone for Browning as all the other central defenders are awful. Three solid players in the centre then Barkley in a free role.

No centre forward, just lukaku and mirallas on the flanks ready to charge towards goal between full back and centre back.

Awesome 5-1 win.

The defence was all over the place at Newcastle. If we're going to send both fullbacks forward at the same time then Barry has to sit with the centrebacks. It's far too easy to counterattack us and catch us out 2v2 or even 3v2. Distin's positional sense has always been highly suspect and Alcaraz isn't much better. They both got sucked over to the left-hand side and Coleman was our only defender in the centre of our box on more than one occasion.

I'd personally switch to the system being currently used by United (more or less). We need to get back to basics and to build from a solid defensive base.

Too often this season we've had nobody up top to aim for. Lukaku and Mirallas could link up and take it in turns to run the channels. Barkley would need to work as hard defensively as Rooney does for United to help prevent McCarthy from getting swamped. Naisy very often drops in to help out anyway. He should have as much opportunity as Rooney and Mata to break into the box and get on the end of things. Hopefully the fullbacks will have the insurance to get forward at will though.
