Boss Lid

Player Valuation: £500k
So we all know theres no money this summer, who`s you bet to go. Will Arsenal come back for Jags ? Will we be able to tie Fellaini down to a new contract ? Will Sitteh come in for Baines ? Or Rodwell to Utd. Out of the 4 Rodwell leaving would have the least impact on the team in my view. My concern would any money raised go to Moyes anyway !

Dont know mate, I'd be amazed if at least one of the four mentioned weren't sold.

Lest we forget though - Yobo and Yakubu are the first bit of money coming in. We start off with the millions coming in for them and of course the much vaunted increase in sponsorship money that Elstone said would help Moyes in the transfer market and the extra money climbing up the table (£500k per place) that everyone is factoring in. There's a warchest of, say, £6-7M easy for Moyes to get cracking with.

That's right isn't it?

I thought the money from The Yak, Yobo and Vaughan might be needed for immediate debt issues, if we could raise some money for Bily, then Moyes might have some leeway on a decent striker, then if one of the above ( rodders unfortunately for me ) was sold maybe a proper pacey wide player. Defoe and N`Zogbia would do for me ! plus some squad fillers would be a decent summer if done early.

I think you could be right mate. So we're in a position now where two or three players have to be sold off to pay the club debt repayments, then another one or two need to be sold to create a transfer warchest to freshen the squad up.

If only we had clever people on the board who could come up with fool proof schemes to raise money by, say, building a retail complex on site and generating a few million per year that way.

Oh well.

I think they'll go in this order.

Vaughan
Yobo
Yakubu
Heitinga
Bily
Rodwell

We'll buy fifteen unheard of 'wonderkids' to replace them, half of which will be released by the end of next season.

I think Felliani. Samba said he was close to a move to Arsenal in Jan, so myabe they'll go for him in the summer instead of Jags. I think City will go for more glamorous names than Baines. I don't think anyone will be interested in Rodwell. The likes of Billy, Yobo and Yak etc will be harder to shift than many think and thus the prices will be much lower than some have suggested. The market is going to be saturated with players of that ilk. Tottenham alone will be selling around 10 players, City will sell quite a few, as will West Ham. Most Spannish clubs desperately need to sell players also, so finding clubs who can afford the wages and pay decent fees for Everton fringe player is going to be hard.

slightly pessimistic thread this isn't it? Who should be sacrificed for the greater good.....Bar the dross like Yak, Yobo and Vaughn who need to go I don't think we will need to sell anyone. If they force a move then so be it, you are either want to stay and play like you'd die for the shirt or politely **** off.

Hibbert.

Apparently Chelsea are after him after his scintillating attacking displays this season.
