Who is the player you respect the most?

Paul Scholes

Needs little explanation more than CLASS on all levels. Plus almost went blind and came back to play as well as ever.
 

Also Neil Harris at Millwall, for his battles with cancer and being an all round nice guy. As well as a one club man could have moved on to better clubs but repaid the support Millwall showed him. Class act.
 
Anyone who can produce moments of brilliance from nowhere

Many obviously choices from around the world, but a legend for also never moving clubs.... I give you

He plays football how I think it should be. Glorious goals and no running. I'm so there Matt........

Excluding Everton players, has to be Giggs. Such a shame Wales cannot compete internationally, I reckon if Giggs had played at the world cup he;'d get much more recognition.

Also Messi.
 
Mark van Bommel. Although he has reached stardom in his career. Champion with three clubs in different countries and about to add a fourth title/country to that, he's never forgotten the club were it all started for him. Helping out financially and by acting as an ambassador for my hometown club. Great down to earth guy on top of it.

Bearing in mind he played for Liverpool....(obviously bit of mild hate for him).... that man has done pretty well for himself huh

Has he played and won titles (other than the prem) in every league including non league & then the Uefa Cup final, Champions League final, FA Cup Final and League Cup final & Super Cup, blah blah? Something like that?

I was actually being very pedantic as he seems to be the most unheard and average full back since Hibbert, however his list of achievements is mighty impressive, so i'll just walk away slowly...
