I'm gonna be controversial here JD and I'm gonna say Robles..... No I haven't gone mad at all lol....and I've not said him to wind up our American cousins lol..... The reason I say him is because at the time Howard got injured the team were going through a terrible period..... Joel coming in at that time could have been an absolute disaster which could have seen us slip further down th table. I'm not saying he's a world beater by any standard but I feel we can underestimate the huge pressure he must have felt from both fans and team mates.....the lad has come in and has performed well week in week out and has been an important part of the recently tightened up defence. Loads have played better than him or offered more but I suspect none of them would have been under the same pressure Joel wold have been under..... Fo that reason I think it was very important for him to do well. Value can be measured in different ways I guess.

Noted. You just made the State Department terrorist "no fly" list though with that comment though.

I'll still argue that Distin's injury has been a large part of the recent turnaround
We lost 3 in a row to Stoke, Newcastle, and Hull all without Distin.

I think it's clear Stones is our first choice centre back at this point, he's undoubtedly preferred to Distin when both are fit now.
