Roberto, spoke about unfinished business recently, rather him back than moyes
El Fraud fishing for a new job.

Defence Roberto, defence my ole beauty. He doesn't get it and nor do his teams.

Poch over emery. For some reason the prospect of Hughes isn't causing me the angst I'd have expected it to. Apart from the fact that he's never stayed very long at any club as manager. Did the dirty on Fulham a bit I suppose... Did ok for Fulham before that though, and Wales, Blackburn and City and for a while at Stoke, too. QPR and Saints stints both short and that I think is the doubt I have against him. Only really endured at two clubs and for country. Maybe that's typical. Pfff. Why can't we find a decent manager.

Hard to say, really.

Martinez first season was the most I've enjoyed watching Everton since I was a kid in the '80's, but there's probably an argument to be made that he started the current rot.

Koeman was an absolute catastrophe. Not really sure what happened but there seemed to be no strategy at all, the fees thrown at average players were insane. £28m on 'kin Bolasie FFS. The squad ended up entirely unbalanced and in need of a complete overhaul.

Large Samuel did, on paper, a reasonable job, but the man is a stain on football and should never beem invited to tarnish our club, and the football was bad enough to make yoyr eyes bleed. I refused to go to Goodison while he was the manager.

I never wanted Silva, I don't really understand why Moshiri pursued him so desperately, there was nothing on his CV to say he was the man for the job, and he's also failed to get a tune from these players and spent big bucks on dross.

I've gone for Martinez just because of that first season.

Ultimately though, I don't think any of these managers are entirely to blame. Moshiri and Kenwright don't seem to have the first clue what they're doing. There also seems to be something cancerous eating away inside the club. I don't know whether it's the amount of "old boys" we employ, I've heard it said that some of them are utterly toxic individuals, but the current malaise is down to more than just poor mangerial appointments.
Shame that Martinez played his sideways possession football from his second season on. I remember going to see a pre season game and spotted it straight away. Was never going to work at goodison.

Martinez by a country mile. If the resources the other 3 have enjoyed had been available to Bobby at the end of that first season we would have won everything by now with huge banners draped over the Liver buildings saying "HANDS OFF BARCA" and Rom 2 stone lighter

I liked Martinez. He had the right ideas in theory if not in practice. But entirely correct to sack him.

And I don't mind saying I didn't mind Sam. He hugely flunked his audition to get the job on a longer basis, but at least there is a base level of practicality about his approach to football.

Cannot stand Koeman, in the overall context probably our worst ever manager. Lazy, arrogant, disloyal, self-serving.

I don't have strong feelings on Silva other than he has to go now. He has the personality of a fish. He seems totally devoid of any sense of character and has absolutely no charisma.

You dont necessarily have to have those to succeed but it helps enormously and I would like the next manager to have that something about him that would make me want to watch press conferences and interviews.

Martinez, solely for 2013-14. My favourite season in recent memory with a handful of young players playing some boss footy.

Koeman - finished 7th 12+ points clear of 8th.

Had a horrendous opening fixture list and was bought rubbish by Walsh.

Not saying he is a great manager as he isnt - but IMO we sacked him too soon.
