Who did John Lennon Support

Like many, I agree that none of The Beatles were particularly interested in football.

But on the 'Let It Be.. Naked' album there's a fly on the wall cd, and you can hear little snippets of conversation with them chatting about different things while recording. At one point someone says "Did you see the football?" and another (think it was either Ringo or George) says "Yes, they did it then!" - this album was recorded around 1969-70, possibly talking about our league championship win?

Clutching at straws, maybe.

was apparently supposed to be called "ablett it be"

so if that doesn't link tenuously to us then i don't know

and I've just realised that tenuous link would apply to the sh!te too so we're back at square 1 FFS

Sorry mate think you read that wrong. There was no abuse and no calling you a kopite. Just saying that the line you were giving out is classic kopite propaganda in trying to claim everything about this city (which I was assuming you'd fallen for).

TBF I don't give a flying one who the Beatles supported, but it really does matter to kopites and their professional scouser image credentials. So put them to proof...keeps them busy, and off the streets with paving slabs.
