Bored , not arsed , rather watch...... well hang on id rather not say but surfice to say I couldnt careless about the England team and their much over hyped jaunts . I actually did go to watch England once when they played in Rotterdam against Holland in the 94 world cup all important qualifier in which they predictably losed when Graham Taylor was in charge .

I am Everton through and through and about about as liberal a bloke as you"ll meet so when I came into contact with the right wing scum that used to follow England it put me off for life . For two days being surrounded by drunken fat blokes who liked nothing better than abusing anyone who didnt speak English was a nightmare and one id never EVER repeat .

Ill stick with Everton . Fcuk the England team

Don't care about England either.
I'm Belgian b)

I Couldn't -- Playing for in-ger-land is a costly game for everton - it massages players egos to the extent think they are bigger than their club side and call me paranoid seems to be where the tapping up and unsettling of players begins see - lescott, rooney, jeffers:lol:, Keown, even as far back as lineker....
Once they wore the 3 lions - that was it
Lets hope Jags has more sense.....

Right, so we don't want International quality players in our side. Fair enough then. Were clearly in the wrong league.

You misinterpreted my point - what I was saying is the way moyes manages the team is built primarily on team spirit and a strong work ethic as well as a wage ceiling due to being skint- in todays hedonistic footballing climate any potential england international i.e rodwell will not stay with us long as soon as he starts mixing with the big-time charlies like ashley cole, wayne rooney and frank lampard.- fact imo so basically any moyes built squad at the moment will suffer when the three lions come calling.

Sure, but we are never going to progress by using team spirit as our main weapon, because you saw what happened yesterday when that spirit is broken.

I would love to see Rodwell as captain of England and Everton. Surely that's the target, for our best players to be recognised at International level. If we have to pay them what others are willing to pay them then we need to do that, otherwise we become a selling club again.

I have always gone to as many England games as possible most have been in UK the home internationals etc.don't care what the government of the day did its MY country and MY team

When I was a kid, the first thing us footballers wanted was to play for Everton/Shyte, this was a stepping stone to play for yer country, England. Other sports and drama got in my way but England is what it was all about no matter what sport.

It saddens me to read all the crap about not wanting to play for yer country, I think you younger ones must have a screw loose :) if you don't like this country, what's stoppin' yers from movin'? (y)
