They haven't been getting results, though.

This team finished 4th last year and have won 2 league games out of 7 under Moyes. It's not great.
Yeah but they haven't lost and hadn't kept a clean sheet in over a year prior to him taking over.

[Poor language removed]'s great.

It's not going to happen obviously, but what would that say about people that they'd accept ginger bollocks back after what he did on leaving...running down a contract to seal his years in the making pact with Ferguson and United; demanding Everton hand him our players for bottom dollar; insulting the whole club?

Unreal.

Those who'd have the Judas **** back: have some self respect FFS.

he got relegated too, something that has never happened to moyes. But you would probably treat a cup win with relegation up there with the cup winners cup

With a club like wigan? You're damned right.

Winning the fa cup and getting relegated with that team is more impressive than anything david moyes has ever done, I'd go so far as to sday it's more impressive than the double under kendall.

Think they were 6th?

On the flip side they've only lost 1. Early days anyway, all managers need time. If he does anything like the job he did at Everton he'll be around for a while.

Looked it up and they were 7th. Knew they got knocked out of europe early but thought it was cl.

So he's not done as bad as I thought, tbf.

Still not great and still think he won't last long there.

Seriously??? He's not the one making the offers there it was woodward, woodward made moyes take the [Poor language removed] for it and ruin his everton legacy, as for not getting money for him £28m for fellaini was more than adequate compensation Id say???

I can well believe it. No football fan wants to watch that sh1te he churns out.

The worst football under Moyes is better than what we've seen this season. When Moyes had good players fit and in form the football was great. Jags and Lescott solid in defense, Baines bombing on, Arteta Pienaar Osman pinging it around Cahill and Yakubu knocking it in. Great to watch.

When the board sold his best players, or he had injuries and was left with the dross beneath the first team the football was rubbish.

The difference was Moyes wasn't stupid enough to try and make a midfield of Neville Heitibga and Rodwell play the same way as a midfield of Arteta Pienaar and Cahill.

Ultimately the difference in the squads is crucial. Moyes had a decent first 11 for about 3 of his 11 seasons. He never had a good squad. He once went three transfer windows without one signing with a fee as first team players were sold off.

Martinez inherited Moyes' best 11 and then has been given the budget to spend 30 mill on a striker. He can leave players like Gibson and Pienaar, two of Moyes' crucial players out of the squad completely. Rather than selling top stars Martinez has been able to give them top contracts.

There is no excuse for Martinez to be performing like he is. Moyes knew how to bounce back and stop a rot. Martinez has not shown he can do this yet.

Such as it was.

Thanks for all the 'success' Moyesie.

Mate, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on what constitutes "great football".

Never did moyes's sides ever produce great football for anything other than a handful of occasions in 11 years of semi-punt football.

That's just revisionism Davek. There were plenty of times when Pienaar, Arteta Baines and Osman occasionally tore the arse out of teams.
