Who and what should the blues be looking at?

Eggs made the point regarding signing better than what we currently have and I'd agree totally. I'm sure Koeman is looking at which first team players need replacing with improvements, asumming no departures our bets 11 is currently probably something like

Robles
Coleman
Williams
Funes Mori
Baines
Gueye
Scheiderlin
Davies
Barkley
Rom
Mirallas

of those you'd have to say Robles, Funes Mori and Mirallas are the obvious ones whose places are under threat. Signing a new keeper is going to be very difficult, if we can't get a significant improvement on Robles then I'd like someone like Pickford who has experience and can come in to compete, not necessarily take over straight way. A bit like Buckland did at Stock while Begovic was still there.

Replacing Funes Mori shouln't be a challenge, Keane is the obvious choice with VVD, Manalos or Stefan de Vrij perhaps longer shots. We need at least two defenders I'd say as Jags is on his last legs which leaves current cover as Holgate, Galloway and Pennington.

Mirallas is a decent player but not consistent enough and I'm not sure the likes of Calvert Lewin and Lookman are quite there to be regular first choice starters. Sigurdsson has mentioned numerous times but my concern with that is would we be lacking pace to support Rom? I'd prefer someone like Mané. Maybe take a chance on the lad Grey from Leicester, can't think of any obvious choices in the Premier League (I'd like to have seen Redmond signed before he went to Southampton) so it might be a case of casting our net wider.

Beyond the first 11 we definately need cover in both full back positions unless one of the younger players stakes a claim over the next couple of months. Centre midfield looks well stocked at first glance but I can't see Barry playing much next year and McCarthy and Besic both have injury problems. Up front we definetly need some back up, an experienced striker would be a decent option assuming Rom sticks around to give Calvert Lewin a chance to develop. Looking at how Defoe has done he would be a decent option and could work with Rom.

Schmeichel £15m (Starting keeper)

Zappacosta £15m
(New RB while Coleman is out for the long haul - Italian international playing for Torino)

Manolas £34m and Mauricio Lemos £15m
(2 top-quality CBs, most glaring issue in the side atm)

Chilwell £5m
(Backup/competition to Baines)

Tielemans £15m
(Strong UEL depth/great bench option and one for the future as well)

Domenico Berardi £25m
(The kid is top drawer, how a bigger side haven't picked him up I'll never know. Would be a great signing and would chip in with that extra 10-15 goals a season we want)

Sigurdsson £25m
(Very obvious signing, brings us our creativity and dead ball specialist)

Defoe £7m
(Be the perfect backup to Rom. Plenty of experience, England international and he can still do it at the top level)

Outs: £20m McCarthy, £10m Niasse, £8m Cleverley, £20m Deulofeu, £15m Funes Mori, £1m Barry, £9m Joel (I think he'll leave if we sign a new keeper), £5m Lennon, £10m Besic

Net spend: Around £55m

I'd promote Walsh up from the academy as well. Think a summer like that would really give us a squad 100x stronger than we currently have, and we can really push into to the CL places, if not challenge for the title itself next season.

Joe Hart lol people who are saying him, have they actually watched him play?

Wouldn't be my first choice, mostly because of the financial package it would involve, but he'd be on my list. He's done fine for Torino, the odd mistake (as all keepers make), but generally they're happy with him.

I argued that we should be trying to get him last summer but I think we might be better off planning for the future a little bit now, Butland and Pickford would be my choices ahead of him. That's partly driven by Joel's form as well, but I think we need competition at the very least. Stekelenburg started well but fell off a cliff a little bit, really.

I've been really impressed with Robles of late. If he keeps on through the final 9 fixtures, I don't think GK is an urgent need.

So then we've got these needs:

Creative midfield/wide player. I've not watched Mertens much, but people seem to like him. And I'm entirely biased, but Pulisic can play. Sign them both up. That's only about £75M for the pair. Or one would do.

Center half. Obviously we're after Keane, but we could use two, unless we see Holgate/Galloway/other youngster being worked in or unless Ronaldino takes to RFM as the future. So two then.

Full backs. We need a backup LB and we may need a RB as well, depending on what we see over the next 9.

Striker. Defoe as a backup will give us time to sort out DCL and Lookman before we bring in someone else.

Elsaid Hysaj for Right Back.

Don't care about anyone else.

Yann Sommer for GK of course but I do like Robles so not essential.

Goalkeeper: Hradecky

Centre back: Keane, Van Dijk, Manolas, Gibson, Giminez or Ake

Right back: Vrsaljko or Karsdorp

Left back: Robertson or Tierney

Left Midfield: Bruma or Gray

Attacking Mid: Sigurdsson, Malli or Giuliano

Striker: Defoe or Iheanacho

I like your thinking but that's an awful lot of ins and outs for a net spend of 55 million.
You would need a full time team to get that lot done.
Only SIGGYand Schmeichael (15 m is a bit low ) would be guaranteed first team starters and I think some of the prices for outgoing players are a bit high.
I'd be hoping for a net spend of 80/90 million considering we had 30 million for Sissoko that wasn't spent
