Am I allowed to say, "be thankful" - be thankful you can think beyond what 'the sun' says. What Murdoch allows. No spin doctors, no bias, your own mind. It is confidence we are talking about - confidence in the self that allows an intellectual rational to be arrived at. Far too often the media brings a shell of a person to the trough for the public to feast upon, it happens because it is easy - no not easy to get any old body, but easiest to select the most vulnerable, most soft, most unaware prey. And the public lap it up, like veal calves at milk in a box.

I don't like the current situation, and do all can to remove myself from it. I occasionally vent my spleen here, under the auspices of sport. I know I am as bad as the rest if not a lot worse. That is where they have got us, isolated, powerless, lacking community. Voter turnout has never been lower - it was a privilege once - now it is a stigma like aids.
We let the parasites in, we let them dictate, and we go along with their hatred and demonisation of fellow areas of society.

When a group takes the easy option (to stop thinking for itself) then eventually the price has to be paid and that price is never being allowed near the decision making ever again.
