Here's just a few referees that owe Everton an apology

CRAIG PAWSON: Newcastle

LEE MASON: Stoke

NEIL SWARBRICK: Queens Park Rangers

ANDRE MARRINER: Manchester City

MICHAEL OLIVER: Tottenham

AND MR MASON ... AGAIN: Sunderland

In all seriousness though, where would an apology get us? The standards of refereeing have been deteriorating ever since they were made professional and given immunity from any meaningful discipline. We need to be more vocal in challenging decisions in matches, but apart from that, we have to put in better performances. I'm sure last year for instance there were just as many inept displays, but because we were actually able to overcome them by playing well they were forgotten about.

With the amount of Cameras that surround today's game there is absolutely no excuse for so many bad decisions. It took about 5 years to long to introduce goal line technology, the FA seen very reluctant to introduce any measures that could help the referees. Why can't we give the fourth official a bigger role? Give them a monitor and if an incident like cisse's occurs the fourth official could have seen it and had him sent off before the corner was taken. Or why can't he be sent off at half time? Until they are prepared to embrace technology then every season we will see incidents like these.

The poor refereeing decisions have cost us big time. Im not denying how badly we're playing but they have been a major factor in this poor run.im looking forward to goodison hounding the ref at our next home games and hopefully the players will respond accordingly

I think FIFA wouldn't let that happen

Mourinho is moaning about an agenda against Chelsea - has he seen the refereeing we've had this year?

Martinez and the players should go apoplectic when a decision goes against us.
Agreed Groucho, ref pressure does yield results, look at the number of pens the RS got last year by constant bleating

Never more evident than on boxing day when Baines was brought down, if that had been Chelsea they would have been jostling the Stoke players to get a reaction and surrounding the ref pointing left, right and centre. I like the way we present ourselves in general but this is a sad aspect of todays game we need to come to terms with.

Deep in the bowels of the referee club (?)
Ok Mr Clattenberg what's item number 1 on the agenda
" the plot against Chelsea" Laughter
Ok moving onto number 2 on the agenda
" the plot against Everton" we have 15 speakers who disagree that there is a plot
Ok finally number 3 " how can we help Liverpool to win the league"
Take it away Mr Clattenberg

I mentioned yesterday in a different thread but does anyone know why we haven't had Phil Dowd? We seem to constantly get absolute tossers week in week out ( Marriner and Mason should be struck off the list altogether as they aren't fit to ref a Sunday league game the pair of tits )
