Which players of ours do you think could get in the teams in the current top 6?

Of course, but it gives you an indication of how strong our squad actually is...

True. There are some players who would plainly get game time at Spurs and across the park. Most, if not all the defence plus McCarthy and Mirallas would fit the criteria.

Two things make the debate a bit woolly though. Firstly, we see our players every week, which mostly means we're overcritical of them, and secondly, building a team or squad is as much about getting players working together in a "sum of the parts" kind of way, so it's not just about individual skillsets.

I'm going to answer this question with another question.

Which RS players would make it into our 11?
I think it was already asked but I went for Lallana, Coutinho, Cann and possibly Skrtel and Sturridge now that Sterling has left. I haven't seen enough of Firmino.

Sometimes we overrate them as well. I would have 5 of the RS players in our team yet they dominated both derbies last season.

Contentious! I think Coutinho, Milner, Firmino and Ibe would be good additions to our squad, but not all of them would be starting 11 players. Ibe, for instance, would go out on loan.

To the OP: Coleman would get games at Spurs, Liverpool and probably Arsenal. Baines ditto. Stones at the same three, and probably Utd as well. Jags the same as Stones. I agree with whoever it was that said Mirallas and McCarthy would get games in midfield for Spurs. I could also see Mirallas playing as a wing or wide forward at Utd - they've got precious little in those positions. Even Deulofeu would get games at Utd - they have the likes of Young and Valencia playing wide for them FFS. Mirallas and Deulofeu would also get games out wide for Liverpool. Lukaku would get games at Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Utd. If Kane got injured or Spurs wanted to play two up top, Lukaku would start there too.

I forgot about Milner.

Baines, Coleman and Stones, the rest could probably get in the squads, but would have to be fighting hard to get game time imo.
