I really don't rate steven taylor, he seems a bit clumsy to me. That being said he's alot better than Phil Neville a cb so i'd take him like i'd take any player on the list. Beggars can't be choosers and we might just have to fill the gap untill jags is back or the next window. I'm just hoping the one we sign turns out to be a world beater!

I agree that Taylor seems a bit clumsy, and does have some mild cheating tendancies as well. So I'm not mad keen on him joining. I have no idea what sort of money teams would expect for us swiping their main centreback during the season....

My preferences would be Cahill or Shawcross. I like them a lot. Wouldn't want to be going any higher than £9m max for either though.

I'd would make a polite enquiry about Alan Hutton at a similar price also.

Senderos for me....youngish , experienced , needs to prove himself.Taylor I think doesn't want to move, so would his heart be in it.

Dont really care as long as we get at least 1 CB in

What happened to Senderos and Taylor. We were in talks days ago and that was all it was? Why dont the club say that we are not paying over the odds for them or we are still in talks. Annoying that they dont keep us in touch with whats going on. Argggggh....

In the 8-13M range Cahill, Bramble, Haagelland all too late in the transfer window to sign. The manager(s) would never let them go unless we act like Citeh and tap the s#$% out of them.

You could get Upson who's decent in the 8-12M range w/ WH being a selling club. I think Upson is decent and a bit underrated on this board, he's arguably better than Lescott (guess Capello thinks so) but he's also 30 and isn't worth half of Moyes's Lescottbucks.

I'd go after Wheater. Boro wants to sell....everybody. He should be in the 3-6M range and he's quality if a bit injury prone and if that's the case well then at least Moyes has found the final piece of the puzzle to complete the ultimate training table starting 11.

Unfortunately getting just one CB still leaves us short, with Jag's injured till Nov and Yobo off to the ANC in January, signing one would leave us with 2 fully fit/present CB's until Feb and if one of them gets injured we are in the same [Poor language removed] as now.

Perfect world 2 of the following Senderos and Shawcross/Cahill but after the Lescott deal cannot see Shawcross/Cahill going for anything less than a kings ransom.

So maybe Gabriel Tamas from Dinamo Bucharest he's 25 been capped 42 times for Romania and contract is up next year. Only prob is he's cup tied for the Europa at the moment as he has played in 4 qualifiers for Bucarest.

He's got some attitude issues , talented player but so far he has been a waste . I wouldn't touch him
