Now my mrs has got me tickets for the Stoke game on Saturday and we are staying over in the city.
Where is a good place to take her out in the evening? I'm thinking a nice restaurant followed by some swanky bars.

All advice here would be useful!!

Cheers.

Anywhere around the Albert Dock is sound for swanky (meals and bars).

Do try "Alma De Cuba" in the town centre though if you can, remember to dress up for it though or they won't let you in.

Anyone been to Jamies Italian? I was quite impressed, really did go a long way to justify its prices so kudos to them.

"Alma De Cuba"
Summerskin nailed it - if you want swanky then its Alma De Cuba - very popular and also very pretentious - Barring that there's always Garlands!

Aye I might do boss.

Had a look at that Alma De Cuba place. Blimey. Looks crazy! Anywhere a bit more chilled out yet cool?

Nice place called Cumberland Tavern. At least thats what it comes up as on my credit card....

Head down to Hardman Street - plenty of great student-type bars, live music, great food and good local bands - If I'm in town I can usually be found propping up the bar in "The Flute"
