Are we a train crash waiting to happen?
Are we a train crash waiting to happen?
The train crash happened Christmas 1999.
We live every year by the skin of our teeth. We are used to this. We are Everton....at least we haven't followed other clubs, spent big and lost everything.
18 years without a trophy. That's not Everton. And it'll be 20 odd years by the time we win another one at this rate. It's a disgrace.
The board must be bricking it at the prospect of Moyes leaving. If they get a manger in and he doesn't perform to the same standard in the transfer market then we could sink pretty quickly really.
No Lescott or Arteta and lord knows where we'd be right now.
At least we're not Everton. Floundering in the Championship because their owners finally got exposed for the gash awful owners they are after Moyes left, they're just as bad as them foreign owners at the likes of Villa and Portsmouth. Oh look a throw in yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
With wages increasing, the ground not an issue, david moyes contract up in the summer, lots of players getting older with longer contracts into their mid thirties.
Wheres the five year plan?

......really good thread. I firmly believe we have a very decent side but our strategic position is precarious because we have a Manager who is the clubs key asset and could leave in the near future. As mentioned above, we have a hand to mouth financial existance and that wont change without investment. We are Evertonians, we are realistic and we know we could sink or swim.
