Where to sit in the new ground?

You get to enter a ballot (you got the email for the Brighton game?) on certain Mondays some time before home matches. You have two days or so to enter and you can choose two preferred areas (not blocks) to sit in. You can also ask for them to choose a ticket in another area if you have been unsuccessful in your chosen areas. Then you are notified (theoretically, I don't think this happened with the Brighton one in time) if you have been successful before the sale is opened up to Forever Blue non-+ members and tickets start to get released on resale. After that it is just luck with resale or go for the Premium offers.
thanks. suppose I just have to give it a go. think I'll be over in November, and hopefully by then everthing will be ironed out and demand a little lighter after the initial demand

Fulham game looks your best bet then. No worries about Europe and less likely to be switched for TV. Plus they are not renowned for their away support.

Don't go to a football game if you want leg room.
Well, thanks for the advice (though I think you were not directing your comment specifically at me). I have done my time , in younger days, at Goodison and aways, with no leg room and unobstructed views (before all seating, every view was obstructed), but now I need a bit of "relative comfort". One day, you too, will get there...

If you haven't seen it already, these are the membership on sale/ballot dates.

Added: by the way, Sports Break prices are not bad for a hotel and ticket in either the Upper West or Southwest. 224 for the Villa game, for example.
Even more added: although the hotel choice is out near the motorway!

Thanks but won't need hotel as have family in the city

I have not been to the new ground yet and don't have a season ticket. Being abroad a lot I will only be able to go a few games. WHERE should I try to get tickets? I know that all views are "unobstructed" but what other factors should I consider? As my knees get more and more dodgy, I don't want to have to climb up lots of stairs. I don't want to be near away fans, either. All suggestions welcome. Ta
