Where to sit in the new ground?

Ged G

Player Valuation: £6m
I have not been to the new ground yet and don't have a season ticket. Being abroad a lot I will only be able to go a few games. WHERE should I try to get tickets? I know that all views are "unobstructed" but what other factors should I consider? As my knees get more and more dodgy, I don't want to have to climb up lots of stairs. I don't want to be near away fans, either. All suggestions welcome. Ta

Don't know that you really have a lot of choice about where (unless you are planning on getting one of the premium seat offers, and the lowest priced one of those puts you near the away fans).

You could do what I am doing, use Forever Blue + membership and enter the ballots. Last time I went for South Upper and North Lower but didn't get a ticket anyway. I think both of those might be full of season ticket holders, though, so you might be better going for East or West (remember to read the wording carefully about whether you want to extend your choice if your chosen areas are unavailable!).

Or you could try the ticket resale thread here - but again you would need to be a member.

I sat in the lower east stand block 15..row 13...near half way line..fantastic view but started getting wet when that shower came down...😬
Man City mate had a similar seat at Maine Road. Weirdly, when they moved to the Etihad, he chose a simialr seat, so he still gets wet!!
Old people, eh?

Yes, hoping to be more successful for the Villa match. (I might have ticked or not ticked the wrong box for Brighton when it asks whether you are willing to accept other seats than your choice.) Would make a nice weekend over in the UK with the men at Hill Dickinson on Saturday and the women at Goodison on Sunday.
