Where is Evertons money?

How much is Terry Leahy worth? He's another whose got more sense than to invest in us.

His salary is reported as £1.3m a year. So not quite planet Hollywood dough...

But he is also reportedly leaving Tesco in March 2011.

Bye bye cow shed...

thing is though, he's apparantly a big Evertonian being from Liverpool n'all, so you could say he tried what was within HIS power, to get us a new stadium.

Based on what i've read, I don't think he'd of gained personally by moving us to the cow shed. Unless anyone here knows otherwise...

*looks at DaveK.

So Phillip Green helps negociate players transfer fee's and salerys. He is a clothes sales man, you can see it now in the board room 'Sign for 2 years and get the 3rd year free'
I have just found out why no ****er wants to play for us!

Green's nowhere near our board room mate. Allegedly funded Bill when he took control, thereby being the true owner if you believe what some people say.

Just had a look at his Wiki before Matt does and interestingly.

Football involvement

He is a keen football fan and is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.[14] In 1987 he suggested to Irving Scholar the Spurs Chairman that Tony Berry be appointed to the board.[15]

In 1991 he helped Terry Venables raise the last £500,000 needed to purchase shares in the club.[15]

He was also involved in the transfers of Rio Ferdinand from Leeds United and Louis Saha from Fulham to Manchester United.

He is heavily involved with Everton Football Club due to his friendship with chairman Bill Kenwright, but has no intention of formally investing in the club. He arranged for another friend, Planet Hollywood's owner Robert Earle to purchase shares from former director Paul Gregg during a struggle for control of Everton in 2004. He offers business advice to the club alongside Tesco CEO Terry Leahy and helps negotiates player transfer fees with agents.

It's fan written so not sure how accurate but I wouldn't call offering occasional business advice being heavily involved. He was also involved in taking Saha to Utd. And I didn't know Leahy gave us business advice either, I thought the DK thing was as far as our relationship with him went.

Yeah. He's probably a millionaire, like Kenwright, rather than a billionaire able to throw money round like confetti. Personally, I think it's an asset to have captains of industry such as Green and Leahy associated with the club. My concern is why they don't commit any of their own money. They must know that it's not a viable business proposition.

Yep, yep and yep. Gutted.

This for me proves City are a wealthy Arabs plaything. We have billionaires involved in our club, and they won't invest a penny!
