The new season is fast approaching and i am sharing most peoples optimisim about this year - i really do fee
that this could be our year for some silverware, (even if is carling cup).

Just wondering where abouts in the stadium do u sit and why?? this thread may have been posted before but if s
so it was before my time.

The only place i have not sat to date is park end

mostly used to sit in lower gwladys for the atmosphere, have now moved to upper tho gt4 (generally stuck at the back lol) think better views than in the lower.

wud be interested to hear wat any1 makes off the park end, may well try it out this season at some stage

Park End. I see no reason to be anywhere else.

(Oh yeah, I actually sit on my hoop, couldn't resist the blatent joke)

Upper Gwladys. Love my seat, know all the lids around me, even if i only see them at home games. Love seeing the same faces and asking people how they are every other saturday. I have a great view of the match.

I miss matchday so much, i love Goodison. I don't do crying, but i will cry some serious tears when we leave the Old Lady

yeah i unfort only get over 5 or 6 times a year to see everton, altho sometimes do go to an odd away game... a few times have ended up in the same row in gt4, cant rem seat think 2nd or 3rd row from back and i do recognise the same faces, there is one elderly man in particular i think he goes on his own, fair play to him must be a season ticket holder for a long time, its brill to see the passion in his face and the joy that everton still gives to him.. even after so many years, i hope that i am still as passionate about everton when i am his age... i really do think its wonderful

Im GS3, funnily enough, the lad next to me is Irish, funny lad, sound as, but he only makes it 6 or 7 times a year, spends first 20minutes telling everyone about what he's been up to in the pub - great stuff. On my right is and old fella in his 70s at least and his son, whose in his 50s. The old fella always offers me a mint before kick off, i always decline because of my ale breath, still doesnt stop him offering, bless him. Speak to the fellas behind me and in front, top lads all of em, and like 90% of Evertonians, very knowledgable.

I have had my season ticket 5 years now, and i have grown up with these people around me, they ask me about my studies etc, i ask them about their lives, it is a wonderful relationship that you only share on matchday. It sounds mega chedder and i will take neg-rep for it, but these are my other family, the family i have outside of normal life.

It's what makes going the match special. Everyone one of us is as passionate as the next, we'l stand there and argue and agree about players, tactics, etc, but when that goal goes in, we hug each other as if we won the league. The Irish fella, when he does come, the amount of times i've jumped up on him and hugged him as if we were relatives, just after a goal goes in, you can't buy that, its what makes being an Evertonian special. I thought about changing my seat to the Bullens or Park End, but i never will now.

Just typing this, i've never wanted to get back to Goodison so much in my life. To all the fans who live on foreign shores, if you only ever make one more trip in your life, make it Goodison Park on a Saturday, 3pm, for me there is nothing more special on this earth. I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Agreed mate, that is a fantastic post. there really is nothing like it, hugging randoms, sharing stories as if family etc.
Over here croke park is some stadium, gaelic football is played der, armagh are my county (where i live). When filled its 80,000 people goin crazy on match day and it is a special atmosphere, especially all ireland final day. However as much as i enjoy it, i could live without it, if some1 told me i could never go to another everton game again it would break my heart, iv been to see everton at other stadiums, ive also been to watch other teams when on hols, or with friends, old trafford, emirates etc, but it just doesnt compare to goodison, i cant explain it really - i have only been goin for 5 years or so, but i love it, they are the days of the year i really look forward to. I have my own pre match ritual, wher i go to get a bite etc before headin to the ground. I have my wolves trip planned weeks ago and am like a kid in a sweet shop, prob sound like a weirdo but even typin this thinkin about it and i am so excited and i am in my 20s lol. When z cars booms around the stadium i get goose bumps and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, everton are an obsession to me, when everton win i am elated, when things are not goin well, its like the end of the world. My family dont understand it lol, some people even question cos i not from liverpool how can i get so attached or feel wat evertonians from liverpool feel, i cant answer it. Suppose as the saying goes evertonians are born... those that no understand etc...

Ps irish lad in a pub..... sounds about rite ha ha
