You could write a bloody thesis trying to figure out what's wrong at Everton but you'd still just be guessing due to the secret society style Omerta that the club is run under - no one outside the club has a clue who's responsible for what.

As for our poor form last three games it's Allardyce.
Whether it was Unsworth, Sam or both we stumbled across something vs West Ham that worked. How we set up at the pit aside, he largely stuck to that recipe and we got some good results.
5 at the back vs WBA, flat 5 in midfield vs Bournemouth, Rooney for McCarthy when a goal down vs the Mancs. WTF!
Apart from away at the top 6 he should have stuck with the same system and rotated players in and out for the busy Crimbo period.
Rooney not fit - play Davies.
Siggurdson not fit - play Rooney there or give Lookman or Bolassie a go.
Lennon not fit - Vlassic.
Gana injured - McCarthy or Besic.

But keep the basic shape and style that had been getting results. If he's intent on tinkering to find something better then I hope he gets it right soon otherwise the sigh of relief he gave us will turn right back in to bricking it pretty quickly.

Moshiri for appointing/keeping the following:

Walsh
Kenwright
Big Sam

Walsh should have gone with Koeman, Kenwright should have been taken off any transfer negotiations and Sam should never have been appointed.

We have a clueless owner who whilst he has invested in us shows naivety especially with comments like "expected losses" etc.

They defo haven't been coached well, especially Keane. But the summer compliments over our business done was down to the speed of itr, not so much the bargaining and negotiating over fees...which were generally seen as inflated.
Agreed, the costs particularly Siggy was widely ridiculed but the quality wasn’t.

For me we are really missing Barkley, yes he had bad games but he pushed us up the field and right now we have no one who does that.

We are also missing Coleman runs and crosses, Kenny done really well but he's not Coleman just yet.

Playing a right back at left back is another problem

An most importantly a striker who can finish, yes Rom didn't work that hard but he put the ball in the net and caused serious problems for defences. DCL isn't there yet

We are not good enough defensively to keep clean sheets, which is made worse by the fact that we are also not good enough to relieve the back four by maintaining possession, not least in the opposing half. This is turn is compounded by the fact that we rarely look like we're even bothered with creating scoring chances, and we manage at best only 2-3/game even when we're really going for it.

It would be ridiculous to sack Allardyce - this team was considerably worse before he took over, and patience is required. Starting by shoring up the defence makes sense.

But the football has nonetheless been awful the whole time, and what results we've managed so far have been mostly down to incredible luck. It was obvious long before West Brom that we could never hope to sustain those results on current form.
