I’ve never rated his technical qualities or goal scoring instincts, but it is undeniable he had excellent athleticism that made him very useful.

However, after all of his injuries, I just don’t think he has those assets anymore, and after they’re gone, what are you left with?

I don’t think he is robust enough for Premier Legaue football.

I see a straight switch of clubs between two mediocre, injury-prone, limited technical ability old-style number 9's.
Welcome Mick Antonio.

You could replace 12 goals in 3 years for less than 30 million.
& his link up play is 2nd to none - look a player who has been plagued by injuries is an easy target for you - I get it , but I voted in the poll for him to move on - you are just a bitter blue ..... I just wish we can get someone better.....

He may not have got the service he really needed, but then again he wasted so many 1 v 1s it became a running joke. He gave his all, but his all isn't good enough for where we want to be as a Premier League club.

Do you honestly believe that. I dont. I think its excuse number 145 as to why he hasnt done anything. Its either players around him. Managers not playing his style. Injuries. He started 19 games last season and scored 3 goals. Beto started 15 and scored 8.
The real reason is he's pretty average and not a good finisher. When he's going through on goal how many Everton fans think he's going to finish. Not many.
If calvert lewin never had that 3 month purple patch in covid times this thread probably wouldnt even exist. He's dined out on that purple patch that was 5 years ago.
He'll score the odd good header and thats it. The rest of his game is nothing to write home about.
A centre forward who's stats are hardly scores and hardly assists.
Is it beyond the realms of possibility that he just isnt that good.
But it wasn’t a 3 month purple patch. Like, that’s completely false.

He got 13 in the league in 19/20 and 16 in the league 20/21. Scored in the opening 3 games under Benitez and then got injured.

His career was on upwards trajectory.

Pointless debate. People have an irrational hatred for a player who has been one of our best buys at 1.5m.

He’s gone now. We move on.

Hopefully all the bed wetters can stop cryarsing now and just wish him well after he has given us 9 years (way more than players usually give to a club), as many goals as club legend Ferguson, and that goal/memory vs palace.

Should be thanked and remembered fondly.

You've thrown in the hate lol.
Dont rate a player so you hate them. The only debate is people like yourself telling us he's a great striker and if anyone questions it the last resort you have is "irrational hate"
Pathetic

Didn’t say he was great. His career always derailed by injuries.

With regards to hate, feel free to read the pathetic comments directed towards him and his wife in here.
