Taken directly from the article:

"All right Matt, how's things?" boomed Duncan Ferguson across the canteen of Everton's Bellefield training ground.

"I'm good thanks, want to buy a Land Rover?" replies the plucky salesman.

"Sure, I'll have one in black. Actually, I'll have another one in silver too," replies the Scotsman.

And they wonder why he's just been declared bankrupt?! Bloody ridiculous!

clearly remember him signing, had never heard of him before. Don't think there was much hype about him signing in the press. Horrible to hear about players having to retire early with injury before their careers even get started. When i read the Harry Catterick book there was a young blue who had to have his lower leg amputated when the everton team coach crashed.

stories like these should really serve to ground those players who moan about life as a footballer but are willing to take home in excess of 50K a week when other peers have been less fortunate.

nice to read about him again because he just seemed to disappear off the radar.

....I remember him joining, tall and slim midfielder with a lot of potential that was never realised. If I remember rightly the money paid was a godsend for his club at the time.
