Where are all the bees?

Bees are lazy buggers, let the windows and door open for hours the other day, and it barely moved. Eventually I had to coax it into a tissue to put it outside, 30 mins later it was still there. Eventually it must have decided it was time for a nap and disappeared.

There was loads of House Martins nesting under the eaves of the retail park in Speke last year, but only about a dozen this year.
Utter scruffs shoot them and all migrating birds in Cyprus and Malta. New windows on buildings aren’t as good for nesting and there’s less old buildings for them now as well. Sure I read the Sahara getting bigger was affecting species.
Incredible birds. How could anyone shoot a housemartin ffs

Incredibly hot this morning in Cornwall.

Butterflies everywhere on top of the cliffs and these little fellas where all over the place, sun bathing on the rocks - Common Lizard.

Lovely little things and can’t half shift !
Growing up, me and my brother can both vividly remember coming across a 1 ft -1.5 long lizard on a wall in the middle of the countryside near a beach.

Doubt people really had many exotic pets then so no idea what it was.
