Yeah it always irks me. Especially when it's people with a decent amount of money, it's weird to boast about not putting on to someone who potentially may not be able to afford to have it on much

I’d have it on in the middle of summer if I’m cold.

I don’t get why some people feel the need to wait for some arbitrary part of the year for it.

What sort of luxury do you think we live in?

I'm hardening myself off ... still in shorts, but have moved to 2 layers up top. Important to acclimatise, else you suffer properly in the winter.

Next stage will be long trousers and and another layer. Then an hour's heating in the evening to 18⁰ ... no log burner til October.
