Player Valuation: £500k
I've had a look at our Premiership fixtures from last season and this season so far to compare how we play at:
1. In the early game (12:45,13:30,14:00)
3. Afternoon (15:00,16:00)
4. Evening (17:30,19:45,20:00)

In the early kick offs:

Played: 13
Won: 4
Drew: 5
Lost: 4

Percentage of wins: 30%
Afternoon:

Played: 42
Won: 21
Drew: 14
Lost: 7

Percentage wins: 50%

Night:

Played: 14
Won: 8
Drew: 5
Lost: 1

Wins: 57%

In conclusion we play our better football of an evening and it comes of no surprise as we have most notably bossed Newcastle twice, Man Utd twice and Chelsea. We have played some fantastic football of an evening and it seems the most ideal time when Everton are up for it.

Afternoon times we win games as you can see but at times some wins have been scrappy and we have dropped a number of points with 14 draws.

Early kick offs we have won 4 out of 13 but also lost 4 out of 13, most notably Spurs and Chelsea away but they were hard games.

For the first Half of the Fulham game yesterday we were second best but we soon changed that at half time.

We must get up early for Arsenal next round of games, there's no reason we cannot win this but must switch on from the kick off.

Please feel free to add to this.

I didn't include cup games btw.

It's probably skewed by the fact that early kick offs are TV fixtures, which means they're probably against top sides.

But it is interesting. The difference is too stark to suggest that it's pure coincidence.

Meaningless as this doesn't take into account the opponents faced in each time slot. For example I bet we play a lot of more difficult matches at the early time rather than at night or at 3pm.

I think we play best when the spotlight is off us a bit. As for timings, god knows. Always hated early kick-offs myself, no time to build atmosphere or anticipation.

I'm not sure it has much to do with the teams we play - we have snotted good teams at night. I think it is more that Goodison has a much better (boozier?) atmosphere at night.
