When can we start to panic?

I didn't hate Moyes, I felt it was time to move on. He did a job for us, but over stayed his welcome. Left on a real sour note too. Don't hate him though. He didn't play direct football in the last few years in any event, do you even watch football in that bin?

Martinez may not be the best for the job, point is he currently HAS the job, and needs a few years to make it his own and show he can win things. I'm optimistic he can, he's proven he can.

I'm not terrified of returning to the dark days of the 90s, that sounds like you ironically enough. There's so many crap teams in this league that it'd take something crazy for us to be relegated.

Not even going to go there on the personal comments, you're the conspiracy theorist with the giant ear piercings remember?

Southampton done a good job getting Koeman. Feel he will be more of a success than martinez tbh. Bobby isn't a bad manager but he's one who seems to get too set in his ways and is to stubborn to change.

I guarantee in 5 years you will be calling for him to go, I simply can't be arsed hoping he will change I done that for the last couple of years with moyes in charge.

5 years of the current form? Of course I will be calling for him to go, how ludicrous would it be to keep him?

Thing is, I don't see that happening. In 5 years time we will have won trophies under Martinez.

By the way, Korean? I'm glad we swerved them, terrible human rights record and a leader bigger than Goat.

The whole league apart from Chelsea is rubbish.

A run of 3 wins will see us back up there.

Things aren't ideal at the moment but let's be reasonable.

The league's been awful for a good 5 years now. That team United had when they last won the league was woeful really, Scholes came out of retirement and walked around the field (he was still pretty good like).

When teams like Stoke, West Ham, Fulham, Sunderland etc are/were occupying the mid table for seasons on end you know there's problems with the standard.

Problem is though we are in a position where we can't afford a few years out of Europe. Those poor few seasons under moyes saw with it many of our top players leave and luckily a few decent signings like mirallas, jelavic, pienaar and Gibson dragged us out the crap and had us back up there challenging.

The last thing we need is a few 10th place finishes and the likes of mirallas, mccarthy and lukaku doing one as you can't attract the same sort of quality without Europe, and we can't do a Utd and offer silly money to attract them without it.

It's catch 22 there, sure we can't afford to be out of Europe if we want these star players, but these star players are in turn playing like a pack of donkeys lately, it's also their responsibility to get us there. If they want to play Europa/Champions League, they'd better start earning it.

We shouldn't be a club that accepts that kind of attitude from players, Europe isn't and shouldn't be put on a plate for them, or used as an ultimatum against us.

But how much of it is down to the managers formation/tactics? How many times have we seen the CAM position clogged up with 2 players getting in each others way? How many times have baines and coleman been hampered by a CAM in front of them and not a natural winger?

Players don't seem to be able to form partnerships/understandings as the team is chopped and changed every week. Even his substitutions are baffling and moyes like.

I like martinez as a guy and last season he was spot on in every department. But this season something isn't right, I'm left scratching my head every week and for a side that is renowned for its team ethic we look like a bunch of 11 individuals this season with no chemistry.

Spot on that.

Of course some of it comes down to Martinez; I didn't say I was happy now with how the team is playing, but you have to look at the long term, not knee jerk off 14 games and disregard last season.

Some of these players need a kick up the arse if they want to play European footy, they're not worthy of it at the moment bar a couple.

Just give him time.
