Player Valuation: £25k
Just been on the OS for the first time in ages and saw that there is an opportunity to 'ask Tim Cahill a question.'

Personally i would ask him when he is going to start putting away those trademark headers away again. as my favourite player I cant quite put my finger on why he isnt firing. He has been a passenger in most games he's played in and his body language just seems negative. Could his heart be elsewhere?

Your thoughts..

no pre season straight back into the games doesnt help... pluss not having his trusty lee carsley behind him means he will have to adapt... but iam sure he will be back to his best soon

Missed a few sitters by his standards and he's foot has apprantley been playing up every now and then.

He's had hit and miss games but still puts in 100%. He's just adapting to work with Fellaini, which is looking like its clicking.

He'll hit his form soon.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. He's not in his best form but it's only a matter of time before it returns, he'll get back amongst the goals soon enough, especially now we'll be playing in the style that suits his game most

It depends what Tim Cahill you like. The one that scores a goal and does nothing for 80 minutes or the one who doesn't score as much but gives you alot more during 90 minutes.

I prefer the one who offers tenacity, workrate and agression in midfield. The one we've seen of late to be honest. I think he's improved lately despite not yet reaching top form. We all know he's got his short comings but when he does get involved he gives us something none of our others midfielders do.

It looks like he's going to be more of an attacking midfielder than a second striker this season. He played in the same position as Fellaini on Sunday. More of a 4-1-4-1 than a 4-4-1-1 and at times he covered for Fellaini's lack of running just like he did with Tommy Grav in 04/05. He did alot of off the ball running and dirty work.

I want to see Moyes use the Arteta, Fellaini and Cahill partnership and let them build an understanding.

He's not suited to a four man midfield, he's very average in it. Luckily for him, near enough all our over midfielders are suited to five man midfield.

He needs to get amongst the goals again and agree with G-zone, he's one of the worst of a bad bunch this season. Hopefully he'll pick it up in our new erotic formation again.

To be honest, he has been our worst player this season.

Mr Anonymous.

Really?!!! I'm shocked at that. At least when he's not having the best he gets about a bit, digs in with tackles and hussling.

And while Lescott's playing like he is he's nowhere near being the worst of the bunch.

Agree 100%.

And guys, what is all about with so many posts here questionuning players heart for Everton. Arteta's performance on sunday showed that it's not a problem of lack of desire from him, but it's (or hopefully it was) strictly a football issue. I've guess Cahill is in the similar situation, he can play better and would be nice if he would score a few goals, but I don't really see why we should question his heart.

Lescott has been horrendous this season.

Baines must be fuming.

I can honestly blame Lescott for a handful of goals so far this season, flat out blame the feller. No one else's fault but his.

Timmy's gotta work with a lad just getting to grips with the Premiership, but I do agree his trademark finishing needs getting back on track.

Agreed we miss his huhely when he is not in the side, and dont really appreciate his in the side. He defends form the front chases, harries and hurries. Another good point is that he is probably the only player in the cuntre willing to kick people to, i know we all like sexy football but its also a part of the game to let other players know your about, cahill does this. Remember Fulham at home, and Bullard looked as if he was going to create something to get Fulham back in the game, Wham Cahill nailed him and took him compleatley out of the game he went of ten minutes later.

In terms of scoring hes still making the chances, ok hes currently missing them oput im putting this down to rurtiness, with hardly any preseason and a long time out of football. The thing with Tim though when hes not a t his optimum fittness he still runs himself in to the ground, which makes him fatiuqued easier we will see him get more into the games as the weeks go on.

Theres a zip to the team with Pienaar and Cahill in the same team and i think hes a vitol and expeirenced role model for Fellaini in the middle in his learning process.

He loves the club as well did anyone read his comments after the wigan game abnout he feels hes letting everyone down with his lack of scoring. Class act!

He's getting better. I think you have to look at his missed opportunities really. Say it was the Yak that had missed those chances and hadn't scored for what, eight games or something, everyone would be saying he's on a goal drought. Tim's such a goalscorer that he probably thinks like that, wondering why he hasn't scored for ages. He's probably trying to hard, just needs 'one to go in off his shin' as various pundits would say. He's done alright otherwise tho, I haven't really seen the passenger bit if I'm honest.

I'd only be worried if he wasn't getting into the positions to score. Thankfully he is, with a bit of luck he could've scored 5 goals in the last 5 games. He's had alot of chances and once he gets one he'll go on a run.

I'm just happy he's contributing alot more from open play. He's playing alot deeper, he's looking for the ball and he's mixing it up like he always does. I've critisised him this season but he's definatly improving for me.

As I said in my previous post I'm hoping this Arteta, Fellaini and Cahill midfield partnership can develop.
