Once a blue always a....
I am working in Muscat Oman for a few days and heard kids out in the street kicking a ball.....amongst the rag tag of local shirts and I think one well used Man Utd one was a brand spanking new everton shirt
Couldn't but help shout COYB off the balcony
Set me to wondering where else you've seen the shirt being worn with pride in the world ?

It's commonly known as the "nod of acknowledgment" across the globe. But occasionally I do get over excited when I see one in a random place.

Most recent was a Turkish fella outside a mosque in Turkey.

haha course. I think you've done well to spot one in Muscat though mate. That'll take some beating. My two best are scousers in Florida, and a signed and framed Li Tie shirt on the wall of an American Bar in Shanghai.

What's the weather like there at the moment mate? Nice place? never been myself like.

I saw a little kid wearing one of the shirts from 2000s here in california and that was before the howard and donavon moves. Also, i have seen more Everton shirts than any other teams which is great :)

Its warm. 25 degrees every day so far...and joy of joys I have a ticket for tomorrows game...Oman vs Thailand...in fact if you turn up early the national side are free to watch !!!
they are Football mad here

At the top of the grand canyon. There were 4 of us all with them on and this fella just appeared with one on too, weird I thought. That universal nod of acknowledgment happened, ha! Sure he took a photo too.

On a jungle trek in Thailand, one of the tribesmen had one on. obviously donated to him by a backpacker before me. though was still weird and excellent in equal measure.

Wrestle mania on tv about 3 - 4 years ago (the one that was in the roofless stadium) during the main event undertaker v edge there was someone wearing an everton shirt in the crowd and kept holding up a 'feed the yak' sign.

In loads of weird places that I'm trying to recall now. The one that comes to mind was training in a gym in Greece and being the only not Greek there when some lid comes past me and stares at the badge on my arm. He then went through the 84-85 team from 1 to 11 while I was doing curls. Put me off somewhat.
