Whatever happened to normal names ?

Saw a kids football match yesterday and couldn’t help but hear the array of names being called out..... Henley, Lincoln, Hartley, Brodie..... and others too.
Whatever happened to jack or tom ? Why is there a need to empty a bag of scrabble letters on the floor to name your child these days.

Seems to be a fashion for surnames as first name, the Yanks are even worse for scrabble letter names

It’s called ‘ the surname ‘ clan , where your first and last names are surnames.

..names change like fashion, there’s also a large influx of immigrants (look at the mix of names in Everton’s youth teams).

My missus used to work for the CPS and was adamant that there was a direct correlation between the name Tyson and burglary.

I'm still trying to work out the thought process of the parents of their first child, a daughter, and them calling her Fox.
I could somehow imagine some well heeled home counties young bloods being hip, but this was in Hartlepool ffs!
