I wouldn't get the same warm, fuzzy feeling if some overpaid mercinaries who don't give a flying hoot about the club went on to win the Champions League while wearing an Everton jersey. I'm sorry, but such a ''victory'' just would leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

Defo A, Yorkshire CCC had the same policy as Bilbao I.E Local lads only< buthave changed that now coz its def not a policy enabling them to win things

Uh yeah, good luck winning the Europa league with kids from the North West. I think you're totally underestimating the effect that the coach had on that Bilbao team as well.

And why is it that just because they're not local people they are suddenly 'mercenaries' ? I hate it when people use that word to describe footballers who are just doing what everybody else does, their job.

Let's be honest, with the board we have now, the chances of A happening are fuk all, while for B to work out would require a "perfect storm" of youth players making it at the same time.
