yeah but isn't it just pictures, eg. not capable of animation like? In which case i'll stick with my laptop. Only advantage I could really see potentially is battery life as at present laptops don't last long without a plug

It is, for all intents and purposes, a scaled up iPod Touch.

And it does show 'animation' and video, it just doesn't support Flash. Nor does it have a camera. I would never buy one, over here you have to get a data contract with it to take it to just 'silly price' levels.

It runs the iPhone OS, and the same basic hardware, it is just clocked higher. To each his own if you ask me.....my uncle got one on release day, because he, like Ghost, is an Apple man through and through.

In which case, why not just make a phone with a bigger screen that is designed for those who would use it for reading? Don't get me wrong I like to read books but this, especially at the prices they're charging for it seems pointless. How many books can you buy for the price of an ipad? 2nd hand probablt thousands tbh. Ghost will probably eat me alive for this like, where is our Nick anyway? conspicuous in his absense lol
