I wish it had worked out. He made a point of embracing and honouring our history. There was a time when a bit of positivity and belief seemed all we'd been missing all those years under Moyes. Shame it all fell beyond repair.

Hard to choose between United away or Arsenal home, but I voted United away.

Winning at Old Trafford for what felt like an eon...it basically was. Add the fact that we beat Moyes.

I'll never forget the shear joy of Oviedo on Distin's shoulders after the final whistle. What a win that was.

Few drinks down and glad he's gone, but can't help loving this loser. Genuinely believe he wanted and believed we could thrive. Wasn't up to it, but don't doubt his belief.

The way we were.

:cheers::cheers: brings back memories

I voted Lukaku signing because I thought it could propel us to the next level, Arsenal 3-0 is close behind, but the one match which I'll go for as a unique one...

Everton 3 Newcastle 2 - sixth game of Martinez' first season

We went 3-0 up for our third win in a row and still undefeated... Lukaku just arrived... We bossed the possession, Barkley and Lukaku scored.... it was a footballing performance and hope I hadn't had in years. Truly thought we were gonna go on to great things during the first half of that match (ignore the second half)

The first season was indeed amazing...up until we choked at the end typically. Then by the end of August in his 2nd season I stopped watching really as I knew it was just the 'same old' all over again.
