What other Clubs in the UK or worldwide can we say represent Everton's values?

London Irish seeing the mess they are in
If we're doing other sports I'm gonna say the Cleveland Brown's over in America

They were gods in the past, until the current format of the league came about, since which they have done literally nothing whatsoever

They also have outstanding support despite the team having been absolutely unworthy of them for a long long time

I don't know and I don't care about any of the others. All bad rats as far as I'm concerned.

I know it's topical but West Ham are the Everton of London. Local, family orientated, working class, hard-nosed, ups and downs...but always there for the fans.
Jog on. West Ham barely finish above mid table of the top tier.
Supported by London taxi drivers and half the tabloid media journalists. The only reason we hear so much about them

Hertha Berlin.

Spent loads of money on crap players. Including JJ Kenny.

Change manager every 3 weeks.

Relegated this season.

Working class? 😁

Also, none of this means anything. Pretty much every club in the country can claim to be 'local, family orientated and always there for the fans'.

Point taken...and this extends to all on GOT. But it was meant to be something of a hypothetical question. Just trying to create a dialogue seeking to establish whether or not WE had a similarity with other clubs. Wet Spam were used as an example solely because it was 'topical' given the timing of the OP.

I accept that we are the 'one and only' (yes, I know, Chesney Hawkes is a West Ham fan) and incomparable! But not every club has similar virtues to us and it was simply a question to try and establish whether anyone could identify similarities elsewhere.

Could open up to another argument (and thread) as to whether, as Evertonians, we would feel 'happy' selling our 'soul' like Man City just to secure success? I'm of an age where I was fortunate to see many 'good times' but the younger generation(s) of Blues deserve so much better than what has been served up this past 25-30 years.

Valencia. Almost relegated, bad racists and a new stadium they'll never complete

Yeah less than 20 years ago they were winning La Liga regularly and and made two CL finals in a row in 2000 and 2001 before being run to the ground lately.

In the end they only stayed up by two points and lost 12 of their 19 away games so very similar to 21/22. I watched them beat Real Madrid 1-0 at Mestella which was win that kept them up and it reminded me so much of the 1-0 v Chelsea back end of last season....minus the racial taunts of course.

Loads in the Bundesliga...Schalke, Hamburg, Stuttgart, all regulars in europe in the 2000s and now either in Bundesliga 2 or just scraping survivial.

Our parents, grandparents and maybe even great grandparents believed, I’m not giving up on that just yet guys, come on success is just around the corner, just off to get another whiskey , be back soon

They won it twice in 3 seasons I think. But also that twice was the only time in 50 years

St George Dragons in the NRL.

Proud successful history, but very little in recent decades. The powers running the club have turned it into a basket case.

I think the Everton board is also the St George board in disguise.
