As Evertonians we always say we are a different breed to other football fans. What makes us so special as I often wonder myself. For me personally I have seen all the glory days of winning the league championship back in the 69/70 and the great era of the 80's but continue to watch the eleven heroes that wear the royal blue. What is your opinion of what makes us so special?

They're special in that they can either make or ruin my week.

Whatever happens on that Saturday afternoon effects the entire week or period of time until we play again.

Nothing else does this in my life.

I was in a foul mood for days after the Palace game.

I will always love Everton. It has had so much involvement in my life. I have watched the blues for 46 years. I met my wife at Everton and have two kids and my son has been going since he was 2 and a half also a STH. He goes home and away with his papa. A true Evertonian indeed. My first 2 dates with my wife was at Coventry City on a Tuesday night and Oxford United in the Saturday. Who said romance was dead?

That's brilliant mate. You should write a book!

I've watched us since the early 60s,so God knows how many defeats over the years but like you,it still ruins the week.If we win tomorrow I'll set the TV for MOTD autoview and a bottle of wine with dinner,if not, early night with a book and a cup of Horlicks

First date with the future Madame allezlesbleus was Leeds Utd away! Even included pre season tour in honeymoon!! She is madder than me!

Would you believe it but I am in the process of writing a book on ex players which I am hoping will get published this side of Christmas. I have interviewed over 80 ex players with some tremendous stories. I will update the site when I have more information to release
Let me know mate!

a rainy night at Goodison, midweek game, floodlights are on

it's not one of our real successful periods, it's say late 70's, but there's a good crowd

Stoke have been hacking fk out of us for the majority of the game

some point in the second half Bob Latchford receives the ball and rifles a beauty into the net

it's his second goal of the game and he runs towards the fans on the terrace, he's covered in mud

Gwladys Street goes nuts
