When are they just gonna grow up, treat us like adults and tell us what’s actually going on with him?

What was the deal we signed with Spurs? I want to know what the terms were. I think we owe them a fee if we release him, so we’re basically trying to blag that he’s on trial until the next financial year so that the cost doesn’t fall on this year’s PSR. That seems much more plausible to me than him constantly picking up random nonsense injuries in training for 2 years.

He has already been released mate. He is not a registered player with us and receives no payment from us.

You said we owe a fee if we release him. We have released him. He is not our player. We did not re sign him.

We were renegotiating as there was supposedly a clause that we owed them a fee if we re-signed him.

We didn`t pay spurs anything until he played a certain amount of games for us, and I think he was 7 games short of hitting that mark. It seemed a good deal at the time, but the fact that we were stuck with him for a good chunk of 2 years and he never played a game makes you wonder why on earth we`d still be considering resigning him again. Think its time some other club took a chance on signing him, we`ve had enough deadwood on or books the last 5 or 6 years.

I think close this thread is correct. To me, and I don’t score the posts but there are an awful lot of posters in this thread, that I never see their names in any other thread

I don’t believe that Daniel Levy would have allowed us to get away without ever paying them anything for him. I’ll believe it when I see him no longer involved in any capacity at the football club and it’s confirmed that we’ve not paid Spurs anything. Until then I’ll just wait.

Either a bloke who has not looked after his body at all over a prolonged period of time and has had numerous serious injuries is prone to picking up slight niggles every time he steps up his training schedule, or aliens have abducted the real Dele Alli and Everton are paying Daniel Levy £10m a month to keep schtum about it, leading to our financial woes and PSR problems. It's very very difficult to know which one is more likely.
