what is this that is appearing in my house?

Since I moved in about a month ago I have seen these small black dots around the floor, but only in the 1. floor, not in the main floor or top floor. they are very flat and I cannot scrape them away with my nail, however with some water they go away easily. They are just like small dots of ink. Tonight they have appeared on an envelope that was on top of a box that was on the floor.. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Sure it's a fungi mate, I thought the spores needed to be undisturbed for a while and would take longer than overnight to germinate?
I'd guess it's some sort of insect egg.

Step 2: Pour over affected area
Step 3: Obtain long match
Step 4: Stand well back
Step 5: Strike match, winch a bit & lob onto doused area.

Only one thing that can sort this, you will have to burn the place down before it spreads. That will rid you of the problem.
