Humour is often spoiled when it has to be explained, and the thread seems to have run its course anyway.
Never read those books, but a 42 break in snooker was my higest chipped in with some 30's every now and then after all I was the captain of my team....... enjoyed the game and the commarradery ....42 (number) - Wikipedia

Where.... no I beat some good players my team was always in the top six of the league,and reached two semifinals in the cup - I always played in the hardest position for the team going on last to win the game.....

Is it just me that thinks Joey sounds like the least worthy captain of a sporting team. Crap breaks all over the place and sticking himself last in the hope others had done enough to take the pressure off.

If it was 2-2 the last leg decided the match it was a 5 a side game....... tremendous pressure my highest break was hit with a £1 que out of a charity shop - got into the game and paid £45 a hell of a lot of cash in 1987.... could not get used to it ....as I liked a deep screw in those days.......
Never ever envisaged a 147 break, but a 50 break came close ......
