I think you were playing the wrong sport Joe![]()
I think he just misheard the suffix
And now he's talking about his 5-aside team being 2-2 going into extra time. It's unconventional captaincy I'll give him that.
If he was potting balls with four other (definitely Socialist) young men in his youth for £45 a go, who are we to speculate ?
I was a member of a club in a market town in Lincolnshire. We had three or four guys who would regularly get a hundred break. I once played one of them in the knock-out. On my first four visits to the table, I left him tight on the baulk cushion. He then splatted the reds all over the table. I scored an easy 20 points to add to my 20 points start. Then I missed and he scored 60. I missed again and he cleared up. My best break was 53. These days, I sometimes get a red followed by a black! The guy I played - above, was even better at billiards, won the club championship every year.Your league must have been poor joe.... my club had players who would knock in century breaks quite often... I was never that good myself like .. 47 best I ever scored in a break and have struggled to top that since.
The nerves get to you at that stage to be fairI was on the way to a 147 once but I missed the 2nd red.
Where you in the Albert when the rs were playing? Surely you could have taken out more than one of the buggers.I was on the way to a 147 once but I missed the 2nd red.
Nah much like Everton I sh1t my pants when reds are involved.Where you in the Albert when the rs were playing? Surely you could have taken out more than one of the buggers.
