What is the highest amount we could currently afford to pay a player?

yes of course ... but our team would be gash. Plus it wouldn't make sence, would break apart our team and would encourage others to ask for more

With the new TV money, I think we should be in a position in which one or two of our top earners could be on about 100k a week, even with the rules on how much of the TV money can be spent on wages.

No because we've got several players on match the highest wage contracts apparently so give one £100k, you'd have to give them all it.

I don't believe that's true. It would mean that we currently have several players all earning the same as Fellaini, who is said to be on 75k a week. If it is true, then it would be interesting to hear who these 'several' players are.

Just things I've heard said on here, and by people who know what they're talking about. Can't remember which players it was like, that's why my post was pretty vague.

I think 80k a week is the most we can pay without breaking the team financially.

Not whilst we're at goodison. I think we're at our wage limit with the top earners on 70/75k ish. And we can only have a couple of them.

Don't think the new tv money should be used for increasing wages. And with FFP it would be very foolish. I think the PL in general is trying to lower/keep wages down as apposed to increasing.

We could potentially afford to pay someone £52m ish a year. Problem is we'd only have one player and the premier league don't let you have goalie in an out.

17p and 2 Mars Bars and that's a guarantee, plus the offer of 2 tickets for the price of 1 to any west end show that isn't sold out and the most interesting one, the offer of all coins found down the back of Bills most commonly used couch.

Not forgetting a bit-part gig as an extra on Corrie for a couple of episodes.
