What is Rodwells role this season?

He (and Moyes) need to figure out his position and start getting him time there. If he's a CB (like we kept hearing) then we need to figure out if he is a long-term replacement for Distin. If its CM, then he needs to unseat Heitinga (since I don't think he can unseat Felliani).

He should be coming into his own right a year or two before we NEED him to be a regular starter (unless we sell). PRove to us, Moyes, and himself that that role (whichever he and Moyes settle on) is his, and earn it.
 

Other than Fellaini, I don't remember any other of our midfielders being as good as what Rodwell looks to me, at that age


I'm sure that makes sense in my head??

He needs to avoid any injury for a start, if so, I see him playing 30 games this season, easy
 
I'd like to see him get more games in the position Cahill plays, as the most advanced midfield player. He played there against the likes of Huddersfield, Chelsea and Blackpool and looked the part. Sadly we didn't get to see enough of it because of Moyes insistence on using Cahill there, and his injury problems.

Centre midfield is a possibility, but he needs to show more confidence and aggression. He's yet to do that in this position, and we currently have better options available to us. Arteta or Osman should take on that role for now.
 
hard to say. Osman deserves a run in CM, partnering Felli. So looks like it could the bench.

Strange how he is supposed to be worth 20m but can't get a game. We must therefore be f*cking brilliant!
 

If he gets a run at DM it will prime him for a CB position because he will have the experience to bring the ball forward from CB when he ends up there.
 
as long as moyes gives up on playing him right mid then i will be happy!! but i doubt he will!

He can't unseat MoFro and he's not amoung the best options in the center.
