I think the quote with 'it's not positive to keep him' is very much saying Barkley would leave. If that is what Martinez was supposed to have said, which I very much doubt he did. This article is typical of the anti Everton articles that have periodically appeared, particularly in the Mirror. It gets the desired effect, 'Barkley's going to leave' , 'yes typical Everton sell sell sell and sell again'. 'The board are crap because they will sell our best player/s'. 'We'll never get anywhere like this'. Blah, blah, blah.
Non story dreamt up by some hack, using rehashed 'players will have to leave Everton to get better'.
