What is a "snide"?

Republic Of Leodensia

Player Valuation: £1.5m
(Still learning my GOTish.)

I've seen the word "snide" used here quite a few times, usually describing rival teams etc. Is it in a similar vein to "weapon", "melt", "bad meff", etc, or does it have a different meaning?

Looking forward to seeing it on Leeds forums soon (y)

GOT-ish is like English. Its the international footy language.

But in a word - Steven Gerrard. He's proper snide.

John Terry. He's proper snide.

Ashley Cole. He's completely snide.

etc

Haha, yeah, definitely, I'll be spreading the word. This time next year you'll be seeing posts such as:

"Gradel behaved like a bad meff in the match against Bristol Rovers"

"Bradford City fans are such belters"

"We need to stop acting like bottling weapons and smash any bunch of blerts that come our way!"

and indeed...

"Peter Ridsdale, what a snide he was"

(Also, your sig made me literally LOL)

The kind of "person" that will smile and make nice to your face then stab you in the back (and then up the arse given a cat in hells hope.)
A two faced jackass that when something bad happens to them you smile to yourself realising justice has been done in some small part.
A big mouthed cretin getting filled in and all witnesses turning a blind eye but secretly revelling in the bullies come-upance.

Snide/Snīd/Adjective
1. Derogatory or mocking in an indirect way: "snide remarks".
2. (of a person) Devious and underhanded.
