Who's in charge of the big screens at Goodison. They inevitably turn the replays off of goals just scored or the replays of near misses.
I can understand turning it off when the cameras are focussed on Moyes or Kenwright but whoever it is seems trigger happy when anything of note is about to be replayed

Can't show anything contentious apparently, so apart from goal replays or near misses, anything that could provoke the crowd like showing the ref to be wrong can't be shown.

Those new screens are rubbish imo, dead pixels all over and if close they are fuzzy/ wishy washy.

Old ones were better from where I am sat.

Its used more for advertising then anything! Could be used more for live scores at other games as well, or more regularly and visibly, was really poor yesterday with so much riding on games from around the country.

I understand the contentious decisions but whoever it is cuts out the goals aswell. They did it again yesterday for Jelavic's goal

Remember at the last world cup when tevez scored when he was about 40 yards offside and they showed it on the big screen and it kicked off. You can understand it to be fair...quite ironic though how that could decide all contentious decisions in about 10 seconds

There's a row in Superleague at the moment about the replay screens, as only the televised game has the screen and all the camera angles. I think the argument is that the big teams get the benefit of it and less chance of losing due to an error.

Not sure where you're getting that from, they flashed up the score whenever there was a goal in the City/United/Bolton games.

Which meant you had to be looking at the screen at that instant, tbh i like watching the Everton play the football.

There should be regular full programme live scores every 30 seconds - minute. I was back in the boozer by the time i found out i had won some serious wonga on Swansea.

They were up for about 5 seconds each time, most of the time i was alerted to it because people around me said something.

And really, you should go there to watch the match, not find out if your bets have come in or not ! I honestly don't know how you could have not known Swansea had won that match before you left the ground, people were applauding and laughing about it. Unless you're one of those peculiar people who leaves before the final whistle.

Hotsauce, if you talking about the one camera angle they showed, the handball wasn't certain. The ball moved at the same angle as the arm but that doesn't guarantee anything. If you were at the game and saw it first hand the fair enough. Goodison seriously needs a camera in the main stand for better coverage of goals and contentious issues.

Are we talking about Jelavic here ? Because that was never a handball in a million years.

If you saw it (or the ref) from a different angle then fair enough. From the replay I saw it looked like a handball, but I only saw it from one angle. If that was the only replay they had I can see why they wouldn't show it--it would be sure to anger the away fans.
