The FA cup final was always a MUST on every football fans calendar being the last official game of that season. I can't believe that there has hardly been any coverage of tomorrows final unlike the old days where it was constantly in the news from the Monday onwards. Everyday there were updates on what was happening of the big event with a full day of entertainment from early doors on the day of the game Why has the greatest showpiece been made into an ordinary game with a ridiculous kick off time of 5pm.

I think you'll find the answer on your other thread you started.

TV companies getting too much power and dictating the game these days, which has taken it away from the working class fans. United pulling out of it about 10 years ago doesn't help.

Barcelona play Athletico madrid tomorrow in a game which the winner gets the title, coincedently kick of is at 5pm tomorrow you have that so easily available to you. Or you can watch Hull who over came the might sheffield to get to the final with world class football. I am more looking forward to the play off final than the FA cup it's still a big competition but with champions league and even Europa league to an extent it just seems relatively unimportant in contast.

Il be watching the title decider anyway.

Don't think it can be restored to the great showpiece it once was but surely it should be the final game, as it is tomorrow, but with the old 3pm kick off, they seem to be chopping and changing it so
much, in recent years its not been the last game and nearly sure there was prem games fixed for the same day.

Its as if the fa are going out of their way to harm their own famous competition.

Its true, I used to love watching the FA Cup final (i'm 26), It was a real day thing, but couldn't care less about tomorrow.

It's like watching ya mate cheat on champ manager.

Who wants to watch that?

The Champions League is probably the main reason. It's worth so much more money and with there being four places up for grabs in our league it means there's an added importance to that too. The FA Cup is now the third biggest trophy that English sides can win.
