Actually a bit shocked at the poll results.

I thought for sure that Martyn would be leading by a long way and he doesn't even have a vote. I voted for Lescott as our defense is having a hard time keeping a clean sheet.

no brainer this season for me Rooney. He would have made the difference of at least 4 draws to being wins and we'd be challenging comfortably for 3rd IMO.

shame its never going to happen though.

This. When i get time to ponder on what might have been, you know them what if moments. I think that Wayne Rooney would have been the modern day Everton legend, fans would still be talking about him in fifty or more years as being one of "our" greatest.

Can't believe you're shocked..... The one truly world class player in the list, and he just happens to play in the position we most desperately need strengthening. Can't believe anyone wouldn't vote for him.
