Retired 5yrs ago spent most of that time looking after my grandson, first 18 months was pretty easy, change nappy, feed him, put him to bed. As he got older and he was awake more than he was asleep boy did it get hard, trying to keep a 2yr old boy occupied for most of the day is bloody hard work, sometimes I'd wish I was back on night shifts, but you know what I wouldn't change a thing he's 6 now and we're pretty close, and even though him and his mum have moved to their own place he still asks to stay over which is great.

My dad 'retired' from his office manager job, but is now doing tons of hours a week labouring with his friends. I rather feel he's merely had a change of career. What's sad is that he never felt he could do it during his regular employment years. How many years he wasted doing a job he hated?

It is great isn't it. I've got a 3 year old granddaughter and we are very close.........

There's a lot feel like that. Many of my mates would have loved to have done their own thing rather than work for someone else.........

It is mate, great thing about it is he's footie mad, watches all the time on TV and gets video's up on the computer of all the great player, messi, Zedane and Ronaldo, even had him watching Maradona this afternoon he loves it, plays nearly every day and has a season tkt for the blues, the only down side is the moment he gets up he goes the pantry gets he ball out and has it at his feet all day so we have to hide his ball if we want him to do anything.

Adventure.

Doing my best to be financially independent for it, then buy an RV and a boat. Spend half the year travelling the Americas via RV and mix in some adventuring around the rest of the world. Camping, hiking, etc until I'm too old, then just the RV.

May also take up writing.
