What do you buy on match day?

I'll start, nothing. The reason why is because I couldn't be bothered walking around with it before during and after the game. The first time I took my girlfriend I bought her a scarf (sorry, she actually bought it herself.) I used to buy programmes but like I say I cannot be bothered carrying it round with me so I don't bother now, I wish I did buy more to be honest especially from the away games. I keep all of my match tickets in a shoebox. I don't understand why people just throw them on the ground, I've seen quite a few after the match on the Tarmac and that's after we've just beat Man Utd! I sometimes buy a bottle of water before I go in as I like to stay hydrated during the 90 minutes but other than that I don't buy anything. At the aways I think I'll make more of an effort to buy merchandise.
How about you guys, do you regularly buy programmes, hats, badges, scarves. Does anyone remember the old programme shop by the park end? It had a picture of the cup final team 1995 on the wall.

How boss was the Chelsea game? We arrived at the ground about 4:30ish and walked over to the fan zone, I heard there was Spanish entertainment on so I thought that would kill a bit of time. As we got there a little girl was reading out the team lineups and after hearing "Steven Naismith" I said come on let's go. I was walking down Goodison Road saying "why? Why Steven Naismith?" We went to the shop by crofts social club, got a drink and went and stood by a someone's garden wall outside the Gwladys street turnstile. About 10 minutes later we went into the ground. "I'm going the toilet" said my bird. "Me too" I replied. Off we went to the toilet and as I walked in there was an envelope by the urinal with tickets in. I had to make a fuss didn't I, "Who's dropped tickets?" I shouted. "Are these anyone's?" Pointing to this envelope on the floor. I realised after I had said this that they were tickets for today's game and basically didn't mean anything. I thought to myself, why am I making a big deal of something that is irrelevant now and secondly, has nothing to do with me? People were looking at the tickets on the floor as I Walked away from them to take a piss. Nobody picked them up, probably thinking "what's this lad on about?"

We made our way to our seats to watch the lads finish off their warm up and pre match nerves kicked in as forever Everton played out the PA system. We all know the rest, we won 1-0, on our way out the lads were singing and my bird said "it's the best game I've been to" "this is just the beginning" I replied. We walked towards the taxi club were her Mum was parked waiting to take us home. Once home I said "lets go out for tea" in the car we got and drove off to a pub by St. Helens called the seven stars were I attempted the 1kg meat challenge. Did I do it? Did I ****!
I left loads of chips, the bun and one burger. Not bad for £9.99 though. Would go there again.

It's West Ham Saturday with the lids and as you know, there'll be some stories to tell come Sunday!

Just been going through some boxes and found my first season ticket book

Does nobody go to the church hall for a cup of tea/coffee ?,fantastic place where generations of Evertonians meet and catch up,always plenty of father and sons, quite often three generations with the youngest itching to get into the ground. Season ticket holders who have been going for years meeting up,I've had wonderful conversation with plenty of different characters, usually on the days game, how the seasons going/gone.It's a must for me when I get to Goodison, there's a sense of belonging as stupid as it sounds.

I drop me nan off at the top of priory road then go and park the car and go into the co op at the bottom to buy anything that will mask the smell of the ciggy I have walking up to the ground as my nan will blacken my eye if she knew I smoked so if anyone sees a lad stumbling around the lower bullens you know me nan's just caught me!

reading through this thread gives one of the many reasons why we don't make as much money as some of our rivals.

Obviously the RS have way more international support than us, but aside from that, look at the people you see milling around the ground (and town) on a match day, they ALL seem to be laden down with bags from the club shop, souvenirs etc, and you can't turn around without seeing a truck load of people in those cursed shirts.

Not pointing fingers btw, as I, like most here, don't buy a huge amount except maybe a programme.

Normally walk down quite early - or the train if I'm coming from Southport - and go to the Leigh Arms where we normally meet up for one, and then to the Wetherspoons where my mate always tries to get a burger at quarter to one, if he can find a table. Then off towards Goodison for half two, in, share a pint of Chang between about four of us and sit down for Z-Cars.

Maybe pay for the bus back to town but I normally walk it.

Programme on the way in, magazine if it's been long enough that I've forgotten it barely gets read.

Coffee on the way in if we're not too late. If it's a quiet game (U21 or what have you), another drink and something to eat at half time, otherwise just stay put and get increasingly irate at the phone reception when I can't find out the half-time scores and such.

No wonder we make sod all from match-day purchases, really.

About 500g of Ketamine. Pop down to see Kev early, we start on the stuff. Get a few more of the lads round. Hopefully they've brought some of their own or they'll be all over mine. Buy a ticket on the bus, head into town. The loads of continue our ritual of doing our little shop before the game at M&S. Kev generally gets that fancy lemonade they do. I'll get some bread and biscuits, generally. Their oat and raisin cookies.
All back out of town to dump our shopping at our houses.
Back on the bus, another ticket, this time to Goodison. Once near the ground, buy a badge and try and pin it to Kev's face. Always a laugh.
Don't buy any booze there as I like concentrating on the game.
Once the match has finished - have a look on the ground. If we don't find anything, call up Jez and get some coke for the evening at Brink on Parr Street.
Get some smoothies. Home with a falafel.

Mate.

Every home league game...
Sweets for the journey from Lincoln to Liverpool from co-op in Skellingthorpe (Lincoln).
Diesel...
Curry and chips from the chippy opposite the taxi club on Walton road.
A gentle walk to the ground, change route if last home result/performance was not good.
A pin badge for the boy who is too young to spend 5 hours in the car with me (there and back), without sending me crackers. Not bothered where from, usually the seller next to the church on Goodison road.
A Programme from the fella inside the Lower Glwadys at the left hand end, then a hot chocolate before settling down in my seat to watch the ground fill up.

Fuming, no ones mentioned Golden Goal tickets!!!
Think of what the club could do with all that money?

A chippy or a burger and maybe a drink or two. Only bought a program a couple of times because I usually forget them at my seat after the match.

Only tend to get something to eat these days at home games if its a 3pm kick off, rare I know. Eat more at away games for obvious reasons, though unless its somewhere I know has decent food (rare these days...) Ill eat anywhere but inside the ground! Only other thing I really buy is a pin badge from every new ground I go to while Ive been doing the 92.
